A positive sense of self is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child. Children with high self-esteem feel loved and competent and develop into happy, productive people. To help build your child's positive self-image as he grows, consider these dos and don'ts. These pictures were captured by Image Studios Group LLC of her daughter making her own cookies. Facebook just hit small businesses with another blow. As the owner of 5 small businesses, I refuse to pay anymore for reach on Social Media. It is getting tougher and tougher to make a living and our budget just can not "REACH" that far anymore. Good luck facebook as I'm sure you will continue to prosper. I will stick around as long as I can but this last year I have become very disapointed with all the changes and I am spending less and less time with you.Read More

Etsy has unveiled a new seller platform called Pattern that enables users to create their own custom website.
The platform enables sellers to use their own domain for a website that is powered by their Etsy shops and integrated with other familiar tools. According to Etsy, Pattern will help sellers take their businesses to the next level easily, quickly and affordably.
“We know from our research that more than a third of Etsy sellers are interested in opening a commerce site of their own, but many have found the process to set up and maintain a custom site too difficult. From finding a domain and host, to setting up a site, to loading all of their content, to adding and managing inventory, the process is complex, time consuming and can be frustrating. And this is just to get started.,” Etsy said in its announcement.
Pattern is fully integrated with a seller’s Etsy shop. Not only does the platform import all shop listings and content, but it also syncs orders and inventory between sites, provides analytics integrated with Etsy shop stats and uses the same tools for checkout and shopping that Etsy sellers already use. Etsy notes that setup with Pattern is easy and typically only takes a few minutes. What’s more, Pattern offers five themes, and sellers can further customize their sites with logos and brand colors. Sellers with Direct Checkout enabled can try Pattern for free with a 30-day trial, with the service costing $15 a month after that.
In addition to Pattern, Etsy unveiled a new design for the landing pages of Etsy Sellers called Shop Home. The Shop Home gives sellers more creative control over the design of their shops and enables them to better highlight their brands within the Etsy marketplace.
“The new Shop Home and Pattern by Etsy together allow Etsy sellers to highlight their brands both on and off the Etsy marketplace and provide them with the tools they need to tell the unique stories of their creative businesses,” Etsy said in its announcement. “Sellers have told us they need help marketing and branding their shops and we look forward to helping them showcase their businesses to buyers around the world, on their own websites and on Etsy!”

Freelensing, the poor mans tilt shift.
After owning the Lensbaby Tilt shift lens for over a year as it sat on the shelf collecting dust I sold it... Now, fast forward 4 years and NEW glasses. I'm ready to try again! But, since we are renovating the studio I'm just not feelin the $500 on buying another tilt-shift and decided to try the DIY hack version with an old 50mm 1.8 lens, I already own.... About $80 ;)

I must be the only Mom left on the planet that did not know this simple fix existed... and I will add they are MOMTASTIC pronounced [mom-taask-tic] :D
I picked this bag of 20 plastic clips of organized glory up in out local Wal-Mart for under $3 dollars. No more saving those baby hangers with the fat bottom half that never wants to go through neck of the shirt, so you have to totally throw off you MoJo and go in from underneath...
They just clip on the hanger and not just for little one's either. Put them on big peoples hangers too. The possibilities are endless....
- For hanging multiple tanks.
- Flip-flop at the bottom of the closet? NO More!
- Traveling? Clip a whole outfit on one hanger.
- For those who are colorblind, match their outfit.
- For the husband who just likes to ask, "Does this match?"
The possibilities are endless and I was so excited I had to post a BLOG about it.
Come back for some more soap box savvy. lol

As most of you know Lance & I bought a very old 1917 homestead in our small town of Santa Fe. It has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember to refurbish an old home. I have to thank my wonderful husband for helping me make the dream come true.
As you can imagine the cost is over the top expensive because this home was crafted all by hand of the original owner. Almost no modernization was done to the home so we have basically replaced or upgraded everything but the original structure. We have used all of our own money and pay checked major renovations as we went along or did it ourselves.
This building will be the new Boutique/Studio for ©Image Studios Group LLC It has taken us much longer & much more money than we had anticipated but we are still chugging along and can finally see the light at the end of the Restoration Tunnel that we have been working on since May of 2015.
To help with the final costs I am offering my images for you to purchase. We are hoping you will want to be a part of the dream as well. You now can own a piece of history of this historical home. As most of the images were taken right in the yard of the estate... For me it's like a garden of Edan, everyday a new bloom emerges and most are very unusual flowers. We still have flowers that no one has been able to identify.
I believe in giving back, so when you purchase 5 digital images/prints you will receive the 6th one free.
Please help us raise the money to finish our dream, so we can invite you back to the studio for our Grand Opening Celebration...

Self Worth... Sounds easy enough and yet sometimes it's not so easy to believe. I've always said, "the bad stuff is easier to believe" I think that's an Erin Brockovich term but it stuck with me. I see beautiful women every week that don't realize their own beauty much less their own self worth. As women we tend to scrutinize ourselves much harder than others could or would ever think of. We see everything that we DON'T like instead of everything we SHOULD like. Habits are formed unconsciously. So, unconsciously we put our selves down and point out our faults everyday. Creating self doubt, low self esteem, and lack of self worth. Those are just the minor leagues in the "I love me" games we play everyday. I am challenging you... For 1 month... That's it, 30 days... Every morning look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself OUT LOUD good things about yourself. After just a few days it starts to become a habit... After a habit is formed it become routine... A routine becomes your new way of life... I promise you, you will see yourself different after 30 days and others will take notice of your transformation.

Use YOUR BRAIN!
What do I mean by that???
In today's society everyone is a photographer. The market is flooded with tech savvy individuals who call themselves photographers. To get ahead in the market you need to USE YOUR BRAIN! Anyone can take a picture... Seriously! You just point the camera and click a button. Then go to your computer and add a few filters and some actions and whala you have an image! At-least that's how some photographers conduct their business. And here's the kicker! Customers actually pay good money for that. Whatever happened to setting up the shot "in camera" creating a finished image worth printing and not just sharing online, or worse sharing on instagram "which I LOVE btw" and adding a filter and then sending to Facebook!
Look, I'm not saying I'm the expert photographer who knows everything and creates only perfect images. But, I do think as a professional photographer, I have honed my skills by USING MY BRAIN to take the picture. As a true artist, you should learn as much as possible about using your camera and natural light to take the best possible images, then use software tools to add that special touch after the fact. If not, what set's you apart from all of those tech savvy aspiring photographers who know how to use photo-editing tools. Lightroom and Photoshop are readily available to photographers at all levels, and fairly inexpensive. This means if you choose to rely heavily on editing tools, you’ll face stiff competition, and since we are overloaded with photographers who know how to use photo-editing tools, the competition is crazy and ridiculously cutthroat.
Solution: If you learn as much as possible about your camera and shoot in all different situations and shoot in all different light that's available, and shoot... and shoot... and shoot some more! You’ll have knowledge that differentiates you from all of the other NON-BRAIN USERS in your field.
Don't get me wrong, filters and photo-editing software are valuable tools, I use them too. But, for most photographers it doesn’t help them excel in this field. As a true artist, you should learn as much as possible about using your camera and natural light to take the best possible photos, then use software tools to add that special touch after the fact.
Your BRAIN is what separates you from every other photographer out there. Your, vision is what creates your calling card. Learn to use YOUR BRAIN to create your own style and you’ll be well on your way to building a following of people that recognize it and appreciate it.
Just a little Soapbox Savvy ;)~
