Over the weekend we had the chance to go to a local farmers markets in our area. It was actually pretty interesting, and the produce available was delicious. It was fun for our daughter to choose her own vegetable and fruits. Here at Image Studios Group LLC we like to support our local small time farmers. They are a dying breed; since, at the moment, they are the only way to get food that doesn’t contain harmful chemicals, we really need to support them by purchasing from them. We can help lower prices by increasing the demand!Read More

Use YOUR BRAIN!
What do I mean by that???
In today's society everyone is a photographer. The market is flooded with tech savvy individuals who call themselves photographers. To get ahead in the market you need to USE YOUR BRAIN! Anyone can take a picture... Seriously! You just point the camera and click a button. Then go to your computer and add a few filters and some actions and whala you have an image! At-least that's how some photographers conduct their business. And here's the kicker! Customers actually pay good money for that. Whatever happened to setting up the shot "in camera" creating a finished image worth printing and not just sharing online, or worse sharing on instagram "which I LOVE btw" and adding a filter and then sending to Facebook!
Look, I'm not saying I'm the expert photographer who knows everything and creates only perfect images. But, I do think as a professional photographer, I have honed my skills by USING MY BRAIN to take the picture. As a true artist, you should learn as much as possible about using your camera and natural light to take the best possible images, then use software tools to add that special touch after the fact. If not, what set's you apart from all of those tech savvy aspiring photographers who know how to use photo-editing tools. Lightroom and Photoshop are readily available to photographers at all levels, and fairly inexpensive. This means if you choose to rely heavily on editing tools, you’ll face stiff competition, and since we are overloaded with photographers who know how to use photo-editing tools, the competition is crazy and ridiculously cutthroat.
Solution: If you learn as much as possible about your camera and shoot in all different situations and shoot in all different light that's available, and shoot... and shoot... and shoot some more! You’ll have knowledge that differentiates you from all of the other NON-BRAIN USERS in your field.
Don't get me wrong, filters and photo-editing software are valuable tools, I use them too. But, for most photographers it doesn’t help them excel in this field. As a true artist, you should learn as much as possible about using your camera and natural light to take the best possible photos, then use software tools to add that special touch after the fact.
Your BRAIN is what separates you from every other photographer out there. Your, vision is what creates your calling card. Learn to use YOUR BRAIN to create your own style and you’ll be well on your way to building a following of people that recognize it and appreciate it.
Just a little Soapbox Savvy ;)~
